O Sinner, come home.

This video of John Piper’s father pleading for sinners to come home is such a great example of how we should implore or beg people to be reconciled with God. It’s sad how many Christians don’t beg or challenge unbelievers to come back to God when they evangelise, myself included.

We often times just preach and give a testimony of the hope that is in us, but seldom beg them to be reconciled with God. We seldom give them the nudge they usually are waiting for. We often times mask our complacency or laziness with a “let God do His work” excuse.

Though I believe and teach that God does it all, even in giving us the things to say, with the opportunities He has given, we must never forget of our responsibility in being diligent and persistent in our witness. We are to nudge, to challenge them, make them think. Even the laziest unbelievers will think when their well-being, or their very lives are at stake. So brethren, implore the lost to be reconciled. May God give us boldness to do so. Soli Deo Gloria.
